Airport Parking & Travel: What NOT To Leave In Your Car
At Jet Stream Parking, we take the security of our airport parking in Philadelphia, PA seriously. While our parking lot is always monitored 24/7, there are a few things you can do to keep your car that much safer. Here are a few items you should never leave in your car.
1. Cash & Checks
It’s common for people to leave spare change in their car. However, to deter all chances of thieves it’s best to stow the money out of sight or leave it at home. It’s a good rule of thumb before any trip to remove excess items from your car before leaving it for an extended period.
2. Important Documents
You likely leave your registration and proof of insurance in your car. Other documents like tax forms, personal identification, and other valuable documents should not be left in your car. Make sure you clear out any unnecessary documents before your trip. You may need them on your travels in some cases and should have them properly stored with your bags.
3. Remove Spare Keys
If you have a spare key in the car, then you should also remove it. Spare keys should be left at home or brought with you on your trip.
4. Electronics
Along with headphones and device cords, you should also clear out any electronics. Even something like a headset or MP3 player can be valuable. Some items are sensitive to temperature, and being exposed for a long period of time can cause internal damage to the electronics.
It’s better that you leave any electronics at home or take it with you.
